Skywatcher Mercury 707 - 70 mm f/10 Refractor OTA

The Skywatcher refractor with 70 mm aperture has a well made achromatic objective with very good image. The compact and, with about 1 kg, also very lightweight telescope can be used in many ways.

Guiding scope for astrophotography: The telescope hardly loads the mount. However, it offers solid mechanics, like a lockable focuser.

Compact refractor for first excusions to astronomy: The optical tube fits on any photo tripod and provides a good base for first astronomical observations. You only need a star diagonal and eyepieces.

Terrestrial viewing and bird watching: The fully multi-coated lens offers a contrasty and clear image. Simply attach the telescope to a photo tripod and you are ready to start. You only need an Amici prism and eyepieces for having a full-fledged spotting scope for daytime viewing.

Photography: The stable focuser has, beside 1.25", also a T-thread for your camera. Thus you can directly attach your SLR to it. Only a T2-adapter is needed. Now the refractor turns into a powerful 700 mm telephoto lens with fixed aperture stop 1:10.
