TS-Optics 2" LED Collimator for RC Telescopes and all other Types of Telescopes Reviews

"I am using this product mainly for collimating my 6'' RC. I have not yet tested the product on other telescope types, but usage seems intuitive and easy. However, I do not understand the choice to use a less common 61mm thread. A thread like this would be very useful for attaching a camera which would make the collimation process much smoother. I cannot even find an adapter from 61mm to the more common, eg, 48mm on the website. For this reason I am docking a star."

"Ist vielleicht nicht ganz billig, aber hilft ungemein bei der Kollimation meines 6"" Cassegrain, und auch meine Newtons haben schon sehr profitiert. Runde Sterne auf meinen Fotos! Ausserdem gibt es an der Verarbeitung nichts auszusetzen, und das kleine Ding sollte jetzt lange Jahre ein nützliches Helferlein sein."

"Well made and easy to use, but relatively expensive. Unfortunately, it does not solve all the problems associated with collimation."

Bought this to collimate my Stellayra 6 f/12 RC. Struggled with it a while to get decent star shapes with this scope. Tried collimation a cap, but although it look Ok after doing the collimation the stars where like seagulls. Popped this in when received and set up up within 10 minutes. Tested out under the stars and after allowing to cool down stars where as they should be. Very pleased with the results, although I use the scope for visual rather than for imaging.
