Avalon M-Due equatorial GoTo fork mount with STARGO2 Goto controller
Avalon has enhanced the legendary M-Uno fast-reverse mount. The M-Due is a single-arm equatorial fork mount designed specifically for astrophotography.Of course, it is also very well suited for visual observations. With a carrying capacity of about 32 kg (two telescopes setup), the mount is ideally suited for mobile use. A counterweight is not needed with this mount, the mount is inherently balanced.
As with normal fork mounts, it is no longer necessary to swing the mount around when the meridian passes through the telescope. This saves valuable exposure time and also simplifies image processing. Exposure times can be planned completely differently and REMOTE use also becomes easier.

The dual declination axis:
The M-Due mount has a declination axis that allows you to mount a second telescope, telephoto lens or guide scope on the opposite side. The matching Losmandy style quick couplers are already included. You can adjust the two telescopes 100% parallel.
Absolute Encoder for pinpoint stars even without autoguiding:
With the M-due mount, the exclusive belt drive system from Avalon Instruments has now been expanded to include the high-resolution ABSOLUTE ENCODER. This eliminates the need for autoguiding when the mount is precisely aligned. Of course, the mount still offers the ST-4 level autoguider interface.
Revolutionary drive without backlash:
The AVALON mounts are driven by a toothed belt. It has no backlash and is superior to other mechanical drive designs, such as friction wheel. Tracking becomes even smoother and gear backlash in delclination is no longer a problem, the mount responds instantly.
StarGo2 Pro control system:
The mount is controlled by the new StarGo2 Pro, the controller has the following functions:
