Skywatcher AZ Pronto Altazimuth Mount for Observation and Photography

The mount replaces a photo tripod and can do a lot more. It is very transportable with a good 3 kg weight. The mount head can be easily separated from the aluminum tripod. This makes the AZ Pronto ideal for traveling and even for air travel.

Fast panning and precise tracking

The mount is built like a tilt head and also offers a quick slewing option. If you tighten the large dimensioned fixing screws, the position is maintained even in case of slight imbalance. Worm gears in both axes allow the mount to be precisely adjusted horizontally and vertically. This can be used to track slow objects, such as stars in the sky, or to accurately center the target at higher magnification.

Flexible mounting of spotting scopes, cameras or telescopes

The AZ Pronto has an EQ5/Vixen style saddle plate. Various instruments can be attached via this quick coupling. Among other things, we offer the PSFOTODEL, a stable connection for all instruments with the 1/4" female thread, thus turning the AZ Pronto into a full-fledged photo tripod.

The height-adjustable aluminum tripod

The aluminum tripod can be extended to a height of over 1 meter. Each leg can be clamped in different positions. This allows the mount to be perfectly level even on uneven terrain. The tripod is lightweight, but, due to the stable storage plate, very robust.
