Skywatcher Star Discovery WiFi alt-azimuth GoTo mount with tripod

The light, transportable, azimuth Skywatcher Star Discovery mount with integrated SynScan WiFi module has been developed for the wireless control with your Android or iOS Smartphone or Tablet with the Freeware SynScan App.

The implemented WiFi module creates its own Wifi network, which makes the mount usable without an existing Wifi network. After you have entered your coordinates into the App and you have gone through the initialization procedure, you are ready to discover the Universe with the app´s intuitive Touchscreen control.

The SynScan App permits the fully computer-controlled GoTo control of your mount and guides your telescope automatically to any object which you can select from the extensive databank containing 10000 objects.

The mount is equipped with a patented Skywatcher Freedom-Find Double-Encoder technology, which allows you to move your mount manually without losing track of the mounts position data. This gives you enormous freedom and additional convenience and flexibility during your observations.

The mount works quietly and has a maximum capacity of 5 kg. The telescopes can be attached via the Standard Skywatcher / Vixen style dovetail.

Important note about power supply:

To avoid loss of warranty, please use only the power supplies and mobile supplies recommended by us. Especially simple car batteries or sealed lead-acid batteries can lead to an under-supply, which can then damage the sensitive electronics of the mount. Operating a Skywatcher GoTo mount with a non-proprietary power supply not recommended by us is at your own risk. Thank you for your understanding.
