The standard version allows to assembly the optics to only a side of the mount and is supplied with a short counterweight bar. It´s not necessary to exactly counterbalance the weight of the telescope: using counterweights for about 50% of your payload to get a sucfficient stable configuration. The double telescope option is compatible with all GM2000 series plates, including the Loduel and Maxidual double mounts. In this way, it is even possible to use four optics directly, two on each side. The double mount kit is designed for great stability and rigidity and is made of high-strength aluminum alloy.

The AZ Series Features

The AZ HPS series are very versatile mounts, in altazimuthal configuration, perfect for scientific activities such as LEO satellite tracking, space debris monitoring, laser communication, high resolution spectroscopy, photometric and astrometric measurements.

They are also suitable for didactic applications, popular science or some amateur astronomy activities like planetary imaging or visual observations. The standard version allows to assembly the optics to only a side of the mount and it´s supplied with a counterweight bar. An option is available for a double telescope configuration in order to have two (or multiple) optical systems on the same mount. Using the same HPS technology, these new mounts derive from the GM HPS series, well known and appreciated all around the world by both professionals and amateurs.

Important note: No power supply is included in the scope of delivery. Operation only with a power supply approved by the manufacturer (see recommended acccessories section)!

Delivery exclusively in the transport box

Unfortunately, we cannot take back the transport boxes even if the mount is picked up, because 10Micron does not take back these boxes either. The boxes are part of the mount and must be ordered together with the mount. The general importer additionally points out that in case of repair the mount can only be shipped in the transport box to the manufacturer in Italy. We therefore recommend to keep the boxes.
