Asterion Stepper Motor Control for Skywatcher EQ3 mounts and similar ones

With the EQ Star control you can automate the control of Sky-Watcher EQ3 and other equatorial mounts. High-precision and powerful stepper motors, built in a metal housing, guarantee a solid mounting, accurate tracking and also fast panning in GoTo mode. Also included for easy mounting on your mount.

The EQ Drive control system can be used in stand-alone mode. You don´t need a computer or smartphone to operate it, a compact hand box allows you to move the mount. You can also connect the Autoguider for automatic correction of tracking in astrophotography via the same socket.

You can also use the Drive Kit in control mode with a computer or mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.). On a PC or laptop EQ Star works with astronomical programs that support the ASCOM platform (Stellarium, Cartes de Ciel, StarCalc, etc.). Of the astrophotography and guide programs, EQ Star supports work with MaximDL, Guidemaster, PHD Guide, etc. When working with a PC, the controller enables automatic finding of objects as a GoTo system and their control for astrophotography with slow shutter speeds (autoguiding). The system communicates with the PC via a cable included in the delivery and with the mobile device via a Wi-Fi interface.

The variety of platforms, drivers and applications with which the EQ Star is compatible allows the user to create a flexible solution according to the task at hand. The package also includes a remote control for manual control of the mount in standalone mode (hand controller) for visual observation and astrophotography.
