The NexStar Evolution mount is one of the most advanced mounts Celestron has ever offered. It can be controlled remotely via WiFi, has an internal battery for about 10 hours of operation that can be recharged and is completely redesigned, for example with more stable bearings. The GoTo control has about 120,000 objects in the database and convinces with a particularly simple operation.

Easy and convenient operation

The development of the NexStar Evolution telescopes has taken into account customer feedback over the last few years. They offer many thoughtful details to help you enjoy the most beautiful night under the stars.

No longer worry about batteries or an external power supply. The NexStar Evolution is the first amateur mount to have a built-in lithium iron phosphate battery. One charge lasts up to ten hours. You can even use the Evolution´s USB port to power other devices you want to use at night.

The NexStar Evolution is easy to set up thanks to the large, ergonomic handles. The steel tripod has markings so you can easily extend all legs to the same length. The azimuth and elevation clamps allow you to aim the telescope at an object even without power. Up to seven eyepieces can be stored in two storage bins - one even has a dimmable red LED light.

SkyAlign for easy mount calibration

Easily and intuitively calibrate the telescope to the sky. You simply need three bright stars to center. The mount will find the exact designation and calibrate itself. Ideal for beginners who want to observe successfully from the first night. The calibration is also convenient during twilight, when very few stars are visible.

NexStar+ hand control box included

You can control the mount remotely via your SmartPhone or tablet computer. But you can also control your NexStar Evolution mount in the classic way with the elegant hand controller. Updates and computer connection are done via a normal mini USB to USB cable.

More power and safety with lithium iron phosphate battery

Instead of a typical lithium polymer battery, a lithium iron phosphate battery is used in the Evolution mount. These LiFePO4 batteries have several advantages over the simple LiPo batteries:

High safety: unlike LiPo batteries, LiFePO4 batteries cannot explode or ignite, but are considered intrinsically safe.

Due to the better power density, a high load capacity is given even at continuous current draw.

Long service life and cycle stability.

Wide temperature range for storage and operation.

Low self-discharge

If you are interested in astrophotography, the NexStar Evolution is an excellent and affordable way to get started. It is the only fork mount in this price range with worm gears, along with upgraded motors. Planetary photography with a DSLR or planetary camera like a NexImage or Skyris is no problem at all, and with a polar wedge you can also set it up equatorially to capture long-exposure deep-sky images, whether with a DSLR or astro camera.
