Starlight Xpress Trius PRO CCD Cameras
Starlight Xpress is known for high performance and innovative CCD cameras "made in Europe". The new TRIUS PRO series stands for exactly this philosophy. The astrophotographer has a new series of CCD cameras with improved features at his disposal.
Among other things, the new cameras offer higher download speeds and less readout noise.
The Trius series has 3x USB 2.0 ports, for example for Lodestar autoguider and USB filter wheel and other accessories. This considerably reduces the number of cables. Astrophotography becomes easier and safer.
New Peltier coolers and the new CCD chamber, filled with the noble gas argon, allow an even stronger cooling of the sensor. The two fans for the recooling are throttled, which results in little noise.
The Starlight Trius X2 Combo Set
The combo set is designed for the TRIUS MONO camera and offers an optimal solution for filter change and off-axis guiding. Photograph and guide through the same telescope, you will save the guide scope. The working distance from the T2 thread of the filter wheel to the camera sensor is 55 mm, which makes adaptation to correctors and telescopes easy.
In addition to the Trius PRO camera are also included:
Starlight SXMFW-1T mini wheel with off-axis guider:
The filter wheel accepts 5x 1.25" filters and is perfectly matched to the Trius Pro camera. For example, you can optimally combine an L-RGB filter and an H-alpha filter. The integrated off-axis guider accepts the Lodestar X2 autoguider.
Starlight Lodestar X2 autoguider:
The autoguider always offers a guide star with its powerful and large sensor, even with long focal lengths. The Autoguider is connected directly to the off-axis guiding port. If the star on the sensor of the Trius camera is sharp, it is also sharp on the autoguider.
The most important features of the Starlight Xpress TRIUS cameras:
Camera back panel with many connections:
The TRIUS CCD cameras offer different inputs and outputs. The camera control works via USB 2.0. The power supply is 12 V DC. The camera has a low power consumption of approx. 1.25 A.
In addition, an RJ11 autoguider output is available, which is of course isolated to avoid interference. Three further USB outputs are available, e.g. for filter wheel, autoguider, motor focus.
Optical window:
The optical window is bonded with silicone and provided with a 7-layer multi-coating. This achieves maximum transmission with simultaneous complete suppression of ghost images and reflections. Moisture can no longer penetrate and fog up the inside or the chip, for example.
Efficient Peltier cooling system:
The TRIUS CCD cameras have one of the best cooling systems in its class. A new generation of Peltier coolers enables temperatures of up to 55 K below outside temperature.
The cooling performance is even better utilised by built-in and built-in fans and the heat is removed even faster and more effectively.
CCD chamber filled with argon:
Normally you will only find this feature on really expensive cameras. The TRIUS CCD cameras belong to the top class and offer this feature from now on.
Argon has very good properties during cooling and 100% fogging of the inner surfaces is prevented.
Adjustable camera front with chip:
The camera sensor is adjustable with the front panel. This allows you to fine-tune the camera to the telescope and achieve even better field quality.
