Solid support for small astronomical telescopes, EQ1 mount now features center-hinged leg braces for quicker setup and collapsing of the tripod. New, high-wall accessory tray attaches with just three wing screws ? no washers or nuts to fumble with. With dual slow-motion controls, 360° azimuth adjustment, and adjustable aluminum tripod, the EQ1 makes stargazing easy. Hands-free tracking is available with the optional drive systems. Weighs only 5kg (mount and tripod).

When the EQ1 is equipped with the "MDEQ1" tracking motor and the "EQ1 Foto" adapter, you have a very nice platform for astro photography which is much cheaper than many other systems. With a standard lens (~ 130 mm), astro photograpy with a SLR camera is possible.

When the EQ1 is used only for visual purposes or with objectives with short focal length, the "EMDEQ1" motor is sufficient.

To adapt the camera or the spotting scope to the EQ1 you need the adapter EQ1Foto.
