A superlative eyepiece - it offers maximum field of view with 2" and a spectacular viewing angle. Nebulae and galaxies seem to float in space, and the bordering edge of the image moves into the far distance. The transmission and contrast of this eyepiece are very high. The manufacturer uses one of the most elaborate multi-coatings on the lens surfaces and also offers a clean internal blackening.

Especially light-intense telescopes, like Newtonians, but also APO refractors, do not work well with eyepieces with too long focal lengths, because the beam of rays leaving the eyepiece becomes too large. The image appears too bright and often one gives away light because the eye cannot adjust to this large bundle of rays. For example, a maximum of 32 mm eyepiece focal length is recommended for telescopes with a focal ratio of F/5. With the UWA 28 you do not make any compromise. You can use the complete light bundle, even with fast telescopes, and still have maximum true field of view. It´s THE overview eyepiece.
