ZWO M54 Adapter for cooled ASI Pro Cameras

The ZWO M54 adapter is an adapter designed specifically for ASI cooled cameras. Instead of using the 20 mm ZWO EFW, you can directly connect the adapter to OAG-L with the addition of a 5 mm sensor tilt adapter to reach 55 mm back focus.

It has a thickness of 15 mm. You can also insert a ZWO 2” filter into it by using the supplied M54M-M48F adapter. This adapter also supports 2” filters from third-party, the requirements can be found in the technical data section.

Solutions for 55 mm back focus length:

Telescope - ZWO tilt adapter - ZWO OAG-L - this M54 adapter - ZWO cooled camera (full frame or APS-C)
Telescope - ZWO tilt adapter - ZWO OAG-L - this M54 adapter - ZWO T2 tilter - ZWO cooled camera (4/3" or smaller)

Connecting guide

Optional: Fix the filter to M54M-M48F adapter via threads.

Optional: Fix this filter unit to the M54 adapter.

Take 4 screws from the package and use them to fix the M54 adapter to the camera. The correct holes are in the sensor tilt plate, close to the corners of the AR protect window.

Remove the M48 plate from OAG-L.

Align the hole positions in OAG-L to the smaller holes in the adapter, then use the rest 4 screws to fix OAG-L to the M54 adapter.

Reinstall the M48 plate on OAG-L.
