Daystar Quark H-Alpha Solar Filter for Canon EOS camera lenses

Observe and photograph our sun´s surface and prominences. You can directly use your high quality Canon EOS lens with the Quark DSZTCC. The H-Alpha filter is simply mounted between your Canon EOS lens and your Canon EOS camera or an eyepiece. The 4.2x teleconverter lens, optimized for H-Alpha observation and imaging, guarantees the right image scale and a plane field of view.

The Quark Solar Filter is being regulated by the heating of the etalon element. This powersaving heating draws electricity from a Mini-USB port. Therefore you need an external power source with the appropriate connection port.

You can mount your Canon EOS camera directly onto the back side of the filter. The filter has a fitting bayonet for that. As an alternative, you can use the 1.25" connection tube for a 1.25" diagonal and suitable eyepieces for observational use.

Above an aperture of 80 mm we recommend an additional red filter or the Baader D-ERF filter in front of the lens, to avoid overheating of the Quark filter.

Every DayStar solar filter is tested on the sun before it is stored in our technique. We have a reference filter for this purpose. Only filters that pass this test go to our warehouse for shipment. Filters that do not pass the test are returned to DayStar with a request for exchange. This way we guarantee you will enjoy your DayStar H-Alpha filter from the beginning.
