Connection cable to control EOS-5D, 6D, 20D, R5 and similar via Lacerta MGEN autoguider
This release cable is a useful accessory for the Lacerta MGEN autoguider; the MGEN takes full control of the camera, allowing you to use the dithering function as well. This cable is compatible with the Canon EOS 5D and all other EOS cameras equipped with a CM-N3 connector.

Excerpt from the MGEN description: For EOS cameras, there is a compatible shutter release connector; you can set the number, duration, and interval of exposures, as well as the wait time after the camera mirror flips up - no timer is needed anymore. It offers the Random Displacement (Dithering) command, which can be executed in both axial directions (even independently of each other) and is particularly useful for continuous shooting. In this case, the autoguider shifts the mount by a few pixels between exposures so that any dark noise patterns and hot pixels do not align during subsequent image stacking. This results in significantly better composite images!
