TS holder for optical polar finder scope for iOptron HEM27 mounts

An optical polar finder is simple and can be operated without a computer. This metal holder allows the TS polar finder to be attached to the iOptron mount. After alignment, the holder can be removed within seconds so that it does not interfere with the operation of the mount. The adaptation is reproducible and precise, so that the polar finder is always parallel to the RA axis of the mount.

Attaching the polar scope to the holder:
The polar scope is screwed into the inner part of a dovetail ring. The outer part with a knurled screw is located on the finder. Simply push the inner part into the outer part and clamp it with the screw and the polar scope is attached.

The adjustment parallel to the polar axis is done once using pull and push screws on the front of the holder, the adjustment of the polar scope to the starry sky is done by turning the dovetail ring with the knurled screw slightly loosened.

Attaching the holder to the mount:
First, a threaded pin is screwed into the holder (once). Then the holder is placed on the part of the declination axis housing that points to the celestial pole, with the pin fitting into a hole in the mount. The holder is then clamped with a knurled screw. There is only one way to do this, because otherwise the declination axis housing would get in the way of the knurled screw.
