The line of Geoptik cases was created in Italy for the transport of delicate instruments and sensitive to the weather. They are all certified IP67 for maximum resistance to water and dust. The polipropilene polymer structure can withstand shock from falling and does not fear the superposition of other heavy bags.

Inside the cases are empty, but is possible to buy a kit of pre-cut foam which will allow you to define the profile of the object to be protected. (#30B064.1)

Storage of astronomy cameras

Humidity can quickly end a good series of exposures. Especially with cooled cameras, moisture can cause the protective glass on the sensor to ice over. But also correctors and filters are affected by dew. A good storage is the most gentle prevention against dew. During storage, the silica gel in the airtight case "sucks" the moisture of the night out of the camera and the filters. At the same time, the case prevents the moist room air from penetrating. The dry storage improves the longevity of the cameras, filters, correctors, but of course also eyepieces, and the parts are always ready in optimal condition.
