Tele Vue Astigmatism Corrector - 2.5 dpt - DRX 0250
Many people have a slight astigmatism (curvature of the cornea). During the day, when the pupil of the human eye is very small, this is not noticeable. Very few people need glasses for this reason.
During the night, however, the pupil is wide open. This makes the astigmatism more noticeable. The stars are not nicely point-shaped, but distorted. This reduces the aesthetic pleasure of observation and effectively also the achievable limiting magnitude.
Advantages over correction with glasses better coating and thus better light transmission more comfortable viewing - you have the same viewing behaviour as without glasses
Adaption of the Tele Vue Dioptrx to eyepieces take off the eyecup of the eyepiece put on the Dioptrx and turn the upper part clockwise this fixes the dioptrx to the eyepiece

"Correction seemed less than with 2,25 units, as if correction power was lower than it should, might have been misslabeled. Tested against 2,25 dioptrx with nagler 22 and delos 14 eyepieces, and nacked eye. Correction seemed lower with both eyes (2 and 2,5 diopter prescription) and aberration was greater in the 2,25 when turned out of axis by 90 degrees."
