JMI - Event Horizon 2" Crayford focuser for Newtonian telescopes
Low-profile Crayford focuser for higher demandsThe Event Horizon EV-2 is a 2" Crayford focuser for stargazers working with heavy accessories. It is ideally suited for do-it-yourself construction of Dobsonian telescopes. The focuser can also be used for astrophotography, but we recommend it only for Newtonian telescopes from f/6 or slower or if a motorization is considered. The focusing is done completely without image shifting and thus allows a high comfort in focusing. Of course, the clamping of the accessories is done gently and precisely via rings.
The adaptation to the telescope
The EV-2 comes with a universal base with 185mm radius, which can be mounted to tube radii from 170mm up to flat surfaces. The extension can be fine adjusted via tension and compression screws.
