Skywatcher WiFi GoTo Klevtsov-Cassegrain telescope with variable tripod

The lightweight and compact Sky-Watcher K100 Mini Virtuoso GTi was developed to be operated with a smartphone or tablet using the SynScan app freeware for iOS and Android. The "Mini Virtuoso GTi" mount is equipped with a WiFi module that creates its own WiFi network. This means that the mount can be used anywhere. Once you have entered the coordinates of your location into the app and completed a simple alignment procedure, you are ready to explore the universe using the intuitive touchscreen menu.

The Mini Virtuoso GTi with the SynScan app provides automatic GoTo control, allowing you to automatically align the telescope to one of over 10,000 celestial objects contained in the app database.

Astronomy
The optical design is ideal for observing double stars, planets or surface details of the moon.

Nature observation
The SkyWatcher K100 can also be used very well as a spotting scope for nature observation.

Secondary mirror spider with curved arms
As a rule, secondary mirror spiders have four straight arms. This leads to brighter objects being imaged with so-called spikes, which result from the diffraction of light at the secondary mirror arms.
The curvature of the secondary mirror arms prevents these spikes from occurring and thus ensures a natural appearance.

How a Klevtsov-Cassegrain telescope works
As with the Maksutov telescope, the spherical aberration of the primary mirror is corrected with a special lens. In the Klevtsov telescope, however, this is mounted directly in front of the secondary mirror. The resulting open tube enables significantly faster temperature adjustment.

Internal focusing and distance scale
The telescope is equipped with a friction focuser which moves the primary mirror to achieve focus. A distance scale with markings for object distances of 8m, 14m and infinity enables particularly fast focusing without long trial and error when observing the earth and sky.

Smartphone holder included in the scope of delivery
With the smartphone holder, you can quickly and easily get started with astrophotography. Simply attach your smartphone to the desired eyepiece using the holder.

Variable tripod
The scope of delivery includes a table mount that can be converted into a large tripod with the included extendable aluminum legs.
