GIOTTO for Origin is an intelligent flat field generator specifically designed for Celestron Origin telescopes, enabling precise flat field calibration with the smart telescope. This ensures that if you rotate the Origin camera to better frame your target, or when new cameras become available in the future, you can easily capture a new flat-frame image. The Celestron app will then use this updated image to enhance calibration, delivering the best possible results. Retaining the advanced features of GIOTTO, this version has been uniquely designed for seamless integration with Celestron Origin, providing a perfect fit as a replacement for the standard telescope cap.

Use the Virtual HandPad to control GIOTTO using the same smart device used to control Origin
Controlling GIOTTO for Origin is as intuitive as using your Origin Smart Telescope. Since Origin users already operate their telescope via a smartphone or tablet, they can use the same smart device to wirelessly control GIOTTO for Origin by using the Virtual HandPad and its easy-to-use interface. By simply connecting to GIOTTO?s built-in Wi-Fi and accessing its control page, users can activate the flat field generator and adjust brightness levels and with precision.

GIOTTO includes electronics for USB control from a computer
At the bottom of GIOTTO for Origin, you?ll find the control panel with a USB-C port, allowing you to easily connect it to a standard Windows computer, if preferred. GIOTTO natively operates on a 12V power source, and the package includes a 12V power cable with a cigarette lighter plug for convenient power supply. If you prefer to use an external power source, make sure it provides 12V at least 2A and features a 5.5/2.5mm center-positive power plug.

GIOTTO for Origin works also with PLAY astrophotography software
If you prefer to control GIOTTO for Origin by using a Windows computer, you can use PLAY astrophotography software that provides an easy to use interface to activate your GIOTTO and precisely adjust its brightness. And if you want to use your preferred Windows astrophotography software, you can also control GIOTTO by using other softwares thanks to the dedicated ASCOM driver.

GIOTTO for Origin is designed for Origin Intelligent Home Observatory
GIOTTO for Origin smart flat field generator fits directly onto the end of Origin?s dew shield and locks into place with the same tabs used by Origin?s dust cover. To secure GIOTTO for Origin in front of the telescope, rotate it in the same way you do to fix the telescope?s original dust cover. Please note that, unlike other GIOTTO models, GIOTTO for Origin is not compatible with the ALTO telescope cover motor.
