PrimaLuceLab AC Adapter for Eagle - 12.8 V and up to 14 A

If you want to power EAGLE (that can power all other connected devices) and use it from a fixed station such as an observatory, you can connect it to an AC adapter power supply. This 12.8 V 14 A power supply (compatible with 100 to 240 V) comes with a screw connector for EAGLE on one side, a 2.5 metres extension cable and EU (Schuko), UK and USA plug mains cables. When used with the included extension, the power unit cable is 5 meters long.

The 14 A version has a slightly higher voltage (12.8 V instead of the standard 12 V) because when you power from the EAGLE many accessories with high current consumption, you can see a small voltage drop which, in this way, it is perfectly balanced.

Das Netzteil ist schon ein ziemlicher Brocken, aber 12V 12A sind in slim Bauweise noch nicht wirklich erhaeltlich. Warum Primalucelab das Netzteil dann mit einem (leicht aus der Steckdose herausrutschenden) Eurostecker anstelle z.B. eines Hybrid/Schukosteckers ausliefert kann ich mir nicht erklaeren.
Die Schraubverbindungen an den Kabeln machen einen sehr wertigen Eindruck. Man sollte aber immer darauf achten nur an den Metallschraubverbindungen zu drehen und nicht (!!) an denen aus Kunststoff!
Der Preis den Primalucelab fuer das Netzteil nimmt ist meiner Ansicht nach aber zu hoch, deswegen ein Stern Abzug. Alles im Allen macht das Netzteil aber schon Sinn, eine Steckdose in der Naehe vorausgesetzt...
