The best view of the night sky is in places far from artificial lighting. Unfortunately, however, you don´t have a power outlet there. Nevertheless, you do not have to do without the comfort of a GoTo mount! Because with the Omegon Pro Powerbank you can run your telescope mount all night long.

The Pro Powerbank contains a LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery. LiFePO4 has distinct advantages over regular lithium-ion batteries and the outdated lead-acid batteries!

Unlike the outdated lead acid batteries, the powerbank is smaller and lighter. You also don´t have to worry about accidentally damaging the battery by charging it irregularly or discharging it completely. In addition, a LiFePO4 battery does not contain any toxic heavy metals!

Compared to other lithium-ion batteries, LiFePO4 batteries are more robust and reliable.

During discharge, the voltage maintains a level around 12 V much more stably.

Drastically reduced risk of ignition and explosion.

Long shelf life, even years without use have no negative effect.

Stable performance, even after hundreds of charging cycles.

The Omegon Pro Powerbank is available in two sizes:

Omegon Pro Powerbank 48k: capacity of 154 Wh (13 Ah @ 12 V). If you want to power a medium or large telescope mount with few electronic accessories for a whole night, this is the right powerbank.

Omegon Pro Powerbank 96k: capacity of 307 Wh (26 Ah @ 12 V). If in addition to a mount you are also running extensive accessories such as anti-thaw heaters, a thermoelectrically cooled astro camera, a mini PC, etc., then this larger powerbank is recommended. (A power distributor, for example PegasusAstro, is also recommended in this case).

LEDs indicate the current charging status of the powerbank. It can be easily charged via the included power adapter.

The integrated protection against short circuit, overcharge, deep discharge and overload not only protects the powerbank itself, but also the connected mount.

All mounts or devices with a cigarette lighter cable can be connected.
