Avalon M-Uno equatorial GoTo fork mount with STAR-Go Goto
The Avalon M-Uno Fast Reverse mount is an equatorial single arm fork mount which was developed especially for astrophotography.Of course it is very well suitable for visual observing, too. With a payload of up to 20 kg per side, this mount is optimally suited for mobile operation. A counterweight is not necessary with this mount, it is balanced by itself.
No meridian flip necessary: Like with normal fork mounts, a meridian flip is not necessary, the exposure can simply be continued. That saves valuable exposure time and simplifies image processing. The axposure times can be planned completely different and REMOTE operation becomes easier.

New - the continuous declination axis
The special feature of the new M-Uno dual mount is the continuous declination axis. Thus you can attach a second telescope, a telephoto lens or guide scope to the opposite side. In the accessories section, we offer suitable quick couplings (Losmandy style, or Vixen/EQ5 style). With this, you can distribute the instrument weight better, thus increasing the total payload of the mount significantly.
The advantages and features of the Avalon M-UNO mount at a glance:
very compact and lightweight, the mount head weighs only 15 kg Carrying and mounting handle at the housing - detachable via quick coupling 3" Losmandy style saddle plate for easy attaching and balancing Universal connection plate ready for Skywatcher, Celestron tripods and Baader "Hartholzstativ" no exposed cables due to internal wiring high-quality and elegant mechanical workmanship easy to read and accurate latitude scale mechanical locking on both axdes Polar finder scope integrated for convenient polar alignment high-quality bearings at both axes very quick - set-up and polar aligned within a few minutes and ready for long time exposures Fork arm is adjustble - weight compensation for medium heavy telescopes without counterweightRevolutionary drive without backlash, but also without the drawbacks of the friction wheel mounts:
The AVALON mounts are driven by a toothed belt. It has no backlash and is superior to other mechanical drive designs, like friction wheels.
The main problems of many mounts are backlash and errors in the motor gearbox. Autoguiders have a problem especially with these often rapidly occouring errors, the result are unnecessary large stars. These problems do not arise with the AVALON mounts.
