The advantages at a glance: Suitable polar finder for MiniTrack LX2, LX2 NS and LX3 Alignment to the celestial north pole succeeds much more exactly than with the polar finder tube Without scales and numbers: Reticle with Big Dipper and Cassiopeia to make alignment easier Can also be used in the southern hemisphere Focusable: sharpness adjustable Multi-coated optics for more contrast
More light, more details
The MiniTrack LX2 or LX2 NS in the standard version includes a simple polar finder tube. This allows wide-angle exposures up to 20 or 30 seconds. A lens with a longer focal length reduces the exposure time or leads to dashes. Also, if you want more detail in the image, you will need a longer exposure. Precise polar alignment is necessary. The polar finder scope is an ideal tool for this: for more light and more details - but with fewer streaks.
Tip: For a successful mounting, you need the MiniTrack pole finder holder.
Cheaper, lighter and more compact
The polar finder has no shield with date scale, so it is lighter and more compact. We have omitted all unnecessary parts that you do not need, making it more affordable.
Simple but accurate alignment with the Big Dipper
A great help for accurate alignment: The polar finder has a marker of the Big Dipper and Cassiopeia. This allows you to rotate the polar finder around its axis until the markings point in the same direction as the current position of the two constellations. This way you can find the true celestial pole in just a few steps. Don´t worry any longer about complicated data scales and numbers. This method is completely intuitive and so simple - even every beginner can cope with it immediately.
Also suitable for the southern sky: Besides the Big Dipper, you will also discover the constellations Octans (with the star Sigma Octantis) and the Southern Cross on the reticle. Thus, the mount is also equipped for the southern sky.
Polar finder focusable
A sharp view for any eye: The Omegon polar finder has its own diopter adjustment, i.e. a rotating wheel with which you can adjust the sharpness to your eye. So you always have a sharp view of the graphic markings and the polar star.
