Double-stack filter for the LS40THa solar telescopes
With the so-called "double-stacking", the FWHM of H-alpha systems is reduced. With a narrower FWHM, the contrast on the solar surface is drastically increased, making significantly more details visible.Double-stacking is also possible with the LS40THa telescopes with a reduction of the FWHM to just <0.55 angstroms. Lunt Solar Systems has specially designed this LS40FHa double-stack filter in a compact housing for this purpose. The filter can be screwed directly onto the LS40THa telescopes.

"Ich nutze das Produkt zur Verbesserung der Beobachtungsqualität der Chromosphäre für astrophysikalische Zwecke sowie zur Popularisierung der Astronomie. Den Filter LS40HFA kann man zwar nur Beobachtern der solaren Chromosphäre empfehlen, aber glauben Sie mir, ich werde ihn mit Freude weiterempfehlen. Es ist ratsam, die Außenkonstruktion des Filters durch einen zusätzlichen Schutz gegen das Eindringen von Staub auf die optischen Flächen zu ergänzen. Dies stellt jedoch kein großes Problem dar; die Lösung ist sehr einfach sowie effektiv und kann von jedem halbwegs geschickten Beobachter selbst hergestellt werden. Seine Hauptfunktion – die Verbesserung der Beobachtungsmöglichkeiten der solaren Chromosphäre – erfüllt dieses Produkt perfekt. "
