ASI D25 IR/UV Cut Filter - protective window

This filter protects the sensor of your camera from dust and moisture, but preserves its spectral response in the visual range very well.

If you are using optics with refractive elements (like lenses), this IR blocking filter prevents losing sharpness, as UV and IR have not necessarily the same focus as visible light.

Note: With all-reflecting telescopes, IR radiation can be recorded without sacrificing sharpness, so a clear glass filter might be an alternative which give higher brightness.
