TS T2 Adapter for Canon EF with Insert for unmounted filters

The adapter replaces a standard T2 ring and accommodates unmounted filters with diameters of 50 mm and 50.5 mm. This allows filters to be used without the need for additional adapters, filter holders, or filter wheels.

Change filters without removing or rotating the camera!

Applications in astrophotography

For cameras with the original filter removed, you can insert an IR-blocking filter directly.
- You can use contrast-enhancing filters, such as UHC or deep-sky nebula filters.
- You can even do RGB photography by using your DSLR to capture only the individual color channels, which significantly improves contrast.

Connects to correctors and lenses via T2 (M42x0.75)

The filter drawer has a T2 female thread on the telescope side. We intentionally made the filter drawer only 9 mm long so that, when used with the TS Stainless Steel Adjustment Ring 1 (item number T2Abstimmring1, exactly 1 mm thick), the total thickness comes to exactly 10 mm. This corresponds exactly to the thickness of a standard T2 ring.
Many correctors have a rather long T2 connection thread, which protrudes too far into the drawer and thus prevents a smooth filter change. By inserting the adjustment ring between the drawer and the corrector, you achieve exactly the right distance, and the connection thread no longer blocks the filter drawer.

Which unmounted filters can be used?

The T2 ring comes with a holder for 50 mm to 50.5 mm filters. You can secure the filter with four plastic screws.
