AstroMedia: The Sundials (1)

With luminous numerals and light spot
The digital sundial displays the time with luminous numerals. The numbers are projected onto the reading field via a curved dial. This makes this solar clock the little sister of the even more sophisticated large digital sundial.

In the equatorial sundial, on the other hand, a light spot shows the time of day and even the months. It gets its name from the position of the dial. This is parallel to the equatorial plane.

Both clocks are suitable for all central European latitudes.

For teachers and students
The sundials I are both easy to build and are very suitable as teaching material at secondary schools. They can be used, as well as all other astro materials, of course also in other group and project work on the subject of astronomy and physics.
