Oculum Interstellarum Deep Sky Guide
The interstellarum Deep Sky Atlas has set a new high standard for modern celestial cartography. The same team now presents the interstellarum Deep Sky Guide, its unique observing companion.
Key features:
Contains 2000 deep-sky objects from northern and southern sky All objects are shown on unique two-colour composite charts Approximately 800 objects are presented with additional pencil drawings Short descriptions provided, along with observational hints, e.g. filter and magnification recommendations Shows object details, comparison stars and neighbor objects in one image All colored, but nevertheless useable at night without limits Numerous features make using this guide together with the atlas very easy.
Taking an intuitive visual approach, for each spread of the Atlas, the Guide focuses on carefully selected objects, either as colored composite POSS plates or through the authors´ own eyepiece sketches. They allow you to estimate the visibility of features in the telescope while planning observations. The objects are assigned to different categories: Object visible with 4" from normal country skies Object visible with 8" from normal country skies OObject visible with 12" from normal country skies Additional objects for large telescopes
Stars and other objects in the vicinity are highlighted, so they also serve as finder charts at night. An index map on each spread allows you to quickly find each object´s location in the Atlas
The interstellarum Deep Sky Guide takes all the hassle out of preparing for observing sessions - there´s no need to print star charts or photos. Simply grab your Atlas and your Guide and go observe! This Premium Edition is produced using waterproof and very durable materials.

Rezensionen
I know Ronald Stoyan and Uwe Glahn for more than a decade as very skilled and careful visual observers with a more-than-profound knowledge of the Deep-Sky universe beyond the Messier and NGC/IC standards. In particular, their outstanding talent expresses itself by their detailed, aesthetic but yet naturalistic sketches of all kinds of astronomical objects which I often use as references for my own observations.
The Deep Sky Guide – their latest opus - bundles these strengths in a novel, highly innovative manner. Its layout combined with the excellent selection of observing targets makes this guidebook not only the perfect field companion for the interstellarum Deep Sky Atlas but generally, a unique resource for visual observers eager to dive into the immense beauty of the night skies.
