TSOptics monocular Microscope for transmitted and reflected light

The MXMP48 by TS Optics is a modern monocular microscope, suitable for education and hobbyists looking for a versatile system. It can be used for both transmission illumination (used for translucent prepared slides) and incident illumination (used for opaque objects like plant parts, insects, minerals etc.).

Three objectives and one eyepiece for a range of three different magnifications are included. For reflected light illumination, we recommend the 4x loupe objective.

Its inclined and turnable head allows relaxed and ergonomically correct observation; all controls like focus knob, filter wheel etc. can be reached directly. A further advantage is the long life LED illumination allowing thousands of operating hours without exchange.

The device offers impeccable stability and precision at an incredibly low price. The reflected light image at low magnification is just as convincing as the sharpness of detail just below a micrometer in the limit range of simple microscopes.

You can even create quite acceptable photos by removing the eyepiece, moving a little closer to the object and taking a picture of the virtual primary image of the microscope with a telephoto lens set to ´almost infinity´ (see appendix).
