Lacerta release splitter for four cameras

Control multiple instruments simultaneously ...
... For nature, sports or portrait photography, even astronomy and microscopy.
Perhaps you have never thought of the undreamed-of possibilities that lie within your equipment?

Ideal, ...]
... for astrophotographers who use several instruments simultaneously on one mount
... for 3D stereo images during microscopy, or even Brownian motion
... if an event is to be photographed from different angles and/or distances, but at exactly the same time
... to synchronise several flashes with (several) cameras.

[*Synchronising multiple cameras

The "cheap solution" with a Y-cable is more than dangerous. The fact that the shots are not necessarily controlled synchronously is only the lesser evil. A Y-cable connects the different instruments galvanically. In plain language, if two cameras do not have identical trigger signal levels, a software crash or, in the worst case, hardware damage can be the result.

Galvanically Decoupled
The control unit (operated with 12V) multiplies the input signal by an optocoupler to four output signals that are galvanically isolated from each other.

Possible applications
triggering further slave cameras with a master camera
portrait photography
performance documentation
Gigapano recordings
stereo or 3D timelapse photography
astrophotography

In addition, the 12 V voltage can also be forwarded because the Lacerta RSRQ has both a Power IN and a Power OUT socket. In this way, the individual loads can be connected in series and supplied with power.

Several RSRQ units can be connected to each other. With two RSRQ you can control 7 instruments, with three RSRQ 10 instruments simultaneously.
