Starlight Instruments SIPS - Paracorr System for the 2" Feather Touch focuser

The SIPS is designed for the 2" Feather Touch focuser with 38mm adjustment travel. Mounting on the tube is easy: The SIPS is clamped to the attachment plate on the tube that is suitable for the 2" Feather Touch - just like the focuser itself. The focuser is placed on the SIPS and clamped with the grub screws.
The integrated coma corrector moves the focal point outward by 47mm. This corresponds to the length of the SIPS. So there is no need to calculate a new focus position. The focal length extension of the Paracorr is 15%.
By twisting the Paracorr element, you can then set exactly the right distance to the focuser. This has to be done only once and is then valid for all eyepieces. The distance depends on the focal ratio of the Newtonian telescope.
The SIPS is suitable for fast Dobsonian and/or Newtonian telescopes and is only intended for visual observation, not for photography.
