Lacerta M48-T2 Tilt Adapter

The sturdy tilt adapter consists of two solid and torsion-resistant rings, each of which can be adjusted relative to each other via three lag screws and 3 pressure screws. A tilt angle of up to 1.4 degrees can be set. Among other things, the tilt adapter is the solution for:

Newtonian fringes with H-Alpha images

Interference phenomena in H-Alpha solar photography

Defocused stars in a corner (tilting)

For a "bad corner" one proceeds as follows:

focus the field as best as possible and define the corner where the stars are out of focus.

spread the tilter. If the stars get better in that corner, you are on the right track. If the stars become blurrier, the tilter must be spread open at the other two threads.

No side stray light entering

The two tilting parts interlock. This prevents lateral light from entering the interior of the adapter and thus the beam path. This can be guaranteed up to a tilt angle of 1.4°.

Manufactured in Central Europe

The adapter was manufactured, screwed together and tested in small companies in Austria and Hungary. It is not a Chinese CNC mass production. Minimal unevenness is the result of this small-scale production. This does not affect the quality of the adapter.
