"I bought this mount as a replacement / upgrade of my Skywatcher EQ5 GOTO mount. What an upgrade! My success rate of sharp images due to better tracking accuracy has gone up significantly. Polar alignment and adjustment of ALT/AZ is a piece of cake. I love the larger knobs and handles (from an ergonomics point of view). One minor thing: in order to use the CGX mount with the ASIAir Pro or Plus you need to follow a very specific procedure. They are not compatible out of the box."

"Eine robuste Montierung mit exakter Nachführung - ideal koppelbar mit dem WLAN-Modul und so über das Tablet sehr gut zu steuern. Ein 12-Zoll-Newton trägt die CGX ohne Probleme."

"Great mount for the price. Gotos are good (usually in the field of view, if not near the center), even hours after alignment. 15-60s unguided exposures are possible. Guiding works well, if you counterweight correctly (very important). Very heavy, but that is a benefit if there is light breeze. Don´t forget to turn on the RTC (it is turned off for shipping). The Celestron AVX is a good mount, but this is much better. "
