"This 125?mm motorized flatfield panel is mounted on the front of my imaging refractor for generating high-quality flat frames in PixInsight. I use it with my mono camera and 36?mm unmounted filters, capturing narrowband and RGB flats before each imaging session. The remote-controlled motorized lid makes the routine seamless — no reaching or climbing required during setup. Recommended For •Astrophotographers using refractors or small SCTs up to ~100–115?mm aperture •Users with permanent or semi-permanent rigs who want automated flat acquisition •Anyone using mono cameras with filter wheels (especially narrowband imaging) •Ideal for remote or robotic observatories Quality & Optical Performance •Uniform white LED light with minimal gradient across the panel •Brightness is stable and non-flickering, ideal for both short and long flat exposures •IR remote is responsive with multiple lid positions (open/close/stop), enabling flats without touching the rig •Build quality is excellent: aluminum housing, smooth mechanics, and reliable opening action •No vignetting or light leaks observed, even on fast optics •Includes 12V power input — can be integrated with most field power setups"
