"I mainly bought it for astrophotography and occasionally for some visual observing. I didn't want to complicate things with extenders, adapters, flatteners, correctors, distances... It's really an APO triplet with the flattening doublet incorporated into the tube, which is practical for having a wide range of possible focal lengths with the different equipment I might use (CMOS camera, DSLR, filter wheel, etc.). It's not very popular among enthusiasts, but it has left me frankly impressed. The mechanical construction is excellent and very, very robust. The focuser is very precise and supports really heavy 2"" accessories. The optical quality is excellent, perfectly pinpoint stars, no distortion at the edges of the field, no hint of chromatic aberration even in the brightest stars... I can't find a fault with it. The only thing I would have liked is a slightly larger dovetail, but that has a very easy solution."
