TS ED APO 100/600mm

The optical and mechanical quality of this ED refractor conviced us at the first glance. The multi coated ED objective delivers a bright and high-contrast picture and pinpoint stars. The chromatic abberation is surprisingly low so we can recommend this system not only for deep-sky observation but also for astro photography. Even the Moon and Planets can be observed with good contrast.

This refractor is ultra compact:
Thanks to the retractable dew cap, the transport length of this telescope is only 55cm. So it is very suitable for travelling. It comes with a robust aluminium transport case with enough space for additional accessories.

The TS Apo 1006's fast focal ratio:
With a photographic speed of f/6, this refractor is faster than most of the competitors we know. The f/6 system offers many advantages: The usable field is wider (especially for photography), the necessary esposure times are shorter and need therefore less care for guiding.

With such a fast system, a bigger focuser becomes necessary in order to prevent vignetting (as it would appear with a 2" focuser). It also offers the following advantages:

-- No shifting due to steel rails
-- 1:10 micro transmission for fine focusing (essential for photography)
-- 360° rotation system for the whole focuser and separately for the 2" adapter
-- 2" and 1.25" adaptation with solid brass clamping ring

Optional: Field flattener for astro photography

This fast ED Apo is ideally suited for astro photography. To correct for the field curvature that is inherent with nearly any telescope, we offer a specially designed field flattener. It has no focal reduction so the main attention could be put on the flattening performance. It offers a field illumination up to 45mm and is therefore superior to to most 0.8x reducers.
