This star diagonal is a very good alternative to simple prisms and mirrors which often only have a plastic body. The body is considerably better and the multi-coated prism is mounted significantly better. Thus a clean image is created even at highest magnifications.

The T2 (M42x0.75) thread can be used for custom adaptations. This is a great advantage over normal 1.25" prisms or zenith mirrors. With an optically effective overall length of only 40 mm, the prism can be adapted to almost any telescope system. To make the TSZPT2 a star diagonal, you only need two adapters.

TSFA2 - connect the 2" adapter to the T2 internal thread.

TST2-2 - this adapter is connected to the T2 external thread. The adapter is fixed by the TSFA2.

Many photographic apos have little back focus (working distance), too little for conventional 2" star diagonal. The TSZPT2 saves a good 25 mm optical path, which is usually sufficient.

Please consider the smaller clear aperture of 28 mm. You can use 2" eyepieces up to a field stop of approx. 35 mm without the vignetting becoming disturbing. With 2" eyepieces with even larger field stop (by 40-50 mm focal length) the vignetting becomes disturbing
