Celestron f/6.3 Reducer and Corrector with 2" female thread for Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes
The corrector shortens the focal length of all Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes by a factor of 0.63. The optical correction system levels the slightly curved image field of all Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. The corrector has a 2" SC thread on the telescope side and camera side which fits Celestron and Meade SC telescopes.

Product description of the manufacturer:
This useful lens corrector system kills several birds with one stone: the 4-lens focal reducer shortens the focal length of all Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes by a factor of 0.63.

The focal ratio changes to the same extent from 1:10 to 1:6.3, resulting in a much larger field of view and 3 times shorter exposure times.

The optical correction system levels the slightly curved image field of all Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. This provides a fully corrected, vignetting-free "richfield" field of view of 24 mm diameter.

The focal lengths of the Celestron SC telescopes change as follows:
C5: from 1250 to 788 mm / f 6.3
C8: from 2000 to 1260 mm / f 6.3
C9: from 2350 to 1480 mm / f 6.3
C11: from 2800 to 1764 mm / f 6.3
C14: from 3910 to 2457 mm / f 7.3

The Celestron focal reducer can also be used visually. It has the Celestron SC thread on both sides and is screwed directly to the telescope tube. It can also be used in combination with the Radial Guider for photography and CCD cameras (!).
Connection thread telescope side:female 2" SC thread
Connection thread camera side:male 2" SC thread
Optimum working distance from the SC thread:85 mm +/- 15%.
Lenses:Four lenses with air gap - multicoated
Shortening factor:0.63 times
Corrected image field:24 mm diameter
Clear aperture:41 mm

Question:
How do you have to measure the working distance?

Answer from Teleskop-Service:
The working distance is measured from the beginning of the connection thread on the housing of the corrector (see example picture):

"An excellent focal reducer. Be aware that for astrophotography with a full frame DSLR, you will ?loose? the edges of the frame because of a wider field. This is no problem if you cropping the picture afterwards. "
