Celestron Flexible Dew Shield "Lens Shade" for SC and EHD Telescopes

Dew shields are especially important for Schmidt-Cassegrains and Maksutovs-Cassegrains. Due to our relatively humid nights, dew would otherwise immediately condense on the cooling front surface of the corrector plate or meniscus lens and hinder observation.

In addition, dew shields also protect against lateral stray light and thus enhance the contrast of the image.

Practical features

Fixing the Lens Shade dew shield on the telescope:
They are easily attached with two Velcro fasteners - secure, light and tear-resistant.

Especially practical for transport:
Lens Shade dew shields are flexible - they are simply put around the tube. For transport they do not take up much more space than a flat box. In addition, the dew shield protects the telescope, as it fits around the tube like a coat.

Helpful in use:
