"THIS IS IMPORTANT! The iStarFi works perfectly, but not right away - following the iOptron manual. There is no printing ?CEM40? on the interface, as all photos of it show. So, this adapter is not to be confused with the ?StarFi? for the CEM120. However, this one came in a box with the correct number 7434 printed on it, whereas the StarFi CEM120 bears the number 8434. Following the manual, the interface does not work immediately with an iPad or iPhone and SkySafari on the CEM40. IMPORTANT: in SkySafari Settings, do NOT choose ?iOptron CEM/iEQ Pro/AZ Mount Pro? as written in the iOptron manual, but instead choose ?iOptron CEM-120?. Then it works perfectly! This adapter is really wonderful: no more climbing a ladder (camera on the finder or the scope); star hopping has become a cinch (repeatedly GOTO - center with arrows on the phone - sync). If possible I use plate solving, with a laptop. Without one, this hopping works almost as fast!! ***"
