The new Prism v10 Suite from Hyperion Astronomy

With Prism v10 Hyperion Astronomy provides a powerful software package for a convenient control of your Astrophotography equipment. The Software has been developed and thought out for 20 years, and poses an interesting alternative to customary Astrophotography programs. Regardless, of whether you are a Beginner or an already experienced Astrophotographer, Prism v10 holds a variety of useful and powerful functions, which ease operating your astronomical equipment significantly. Next to the basic functions like controlling all common Astro-cameras (CCD, CMOS, DSLR), Prism v10 enables the control of your observatory dome, motor focus or webcam. The range of functions depends on which version you choose. Of course your mount can also be fully Software-controlled, which spares you the inconvenient hand control input. Thanks to the inplemented Plate-Solving function object positioning is additionally improved. As already hinted, Hyperion Astronomy offers the Prism v10 Software in three different versions, to ideally meet the user´s requirements.

The Prism v10 LITE Version:

Prism v10 LITE is the slimmest of the three versions, and targets astrophotographers that work primarily mobile. The Software bundle includes a detailed sky chart, which displays your mounts position on your computer screen. Whenever you want to reposition your mount, simply do it using the sky chart; no need to use your handbox!. Prism v10 LITE also controls your camera, regardless of whether DSLR, CCD or CMOS-camera; the program is compatible with a wide range of cameras. In addition to your primary camera you can connect an Autguiding camera, which can be operated with the implemented Autoguiding function; third-party Software not required! All customary filter wheels are supported. Prism v10 also has an integrated Sequence generator, which allows you to program filter changes and exposure time hours in advance; exactly how you want it.
A particularly interesting function of Prism v10 is its Plate-Solving feature, which astrometrically measures your images and thereby provides information about the exact sky coordinates your telescope is pointing at. As a result of this, Plate Solving can automatically move your desired object in the very center of your image field. This is especially convenient, when you want to precisely reproduce your image field when doing long-term projects, or after you have refocused on a nearby star and want to return the mount to its original position.
Furthermore Prism v10 assists you with the polar alignment of your mount. The descriptive graph of the drift measurements and the established "Drift-Alignment" method makes polar-aligning your mount not only more precise, but extremely convenient.
Additionally Prism v10 provides the option to grade and select your exposures according to sky darkness, FWHM or other criteria and subsequently stack them. Creating Masterdarks, Masterbias and Masterflats can be done within one piece of software; You save a lot of time and effort!
