Skywatcher AZ5 Alt-Azimuth Mount Head
The elegant and well engineered Sky-Watcher AZ5 is a lightweight, highly portable Alt-Azimuth mount constructed from cast aluminium, designed to attach small telescopes up to 5 kg in weight, fitted with a 45 mm dovetail bar. The mount head can be used with any photo tripod with 3/8" photo thread, this saves weight, as you can use your regular photo tripod.

Supplied with two flexible slow-motion cables, one for vertical and one for horizontal smooth fine motion control. The mount can also be moved manually around each axis, for rapid panning and elevation adjustments. Accurately tracks distant moving objects with ease. A superb grab-and-go mounting suitable for both terrestrial observations and astronomical viewing.

"Schöner und kleiner Kopf. *** Wenn Sie das Okular durch ein schwereres ersetzen, ändert sich der Schwerpunkt und die Bewegung funktioniert nicht. Aber für meine benutzung ist OK, ist sehr leicht und tragbar und das war mein Ziel."

"Die Montierung AZ5 ist sehr kompakt und hat eine sehr hohe Stabilität. Sehr hilfreich ist die Möglichkeit, den Winkel des Tragarms zu verändern für Erd- oder astronomische Beobachtungen. So kann bei astronomischen Beobachtungen das Teleskop problemlos zum Zenith geschwenkt werden, ohne irgendwo azustossen. "
