Rowan Engineering Toothed Belt Upgrade Kit for Skywatcher EQ6 - reduces tracking errors
The stock spur gears are replaced with timing belts.This kit replaces the stock spur gears with timing belts. The tensioner pulley reduces tracking and reversal errors and virtually eliminates the familiar grinding noise.
The transmission ratio is unchanged; this means that no intervention in the software of the manual control is necessary. All SynScan functions can be used as before.
A 6 mm wide toothed belt is used; this means that, in contrast to similar products, no cuts need to be made in the mount housing. The belt pulleys are manufactured specifically for the EQ6; no standard parts are subsequently adapted for this kit.
