LED Red Dot Finder: Baader Skysurfer III - 2957300

The Baader Skysurfer III is an improved version of the standard red dot finders common among amateur astronomers.

It has a larger clear aperture window (30mm instead of the normal 20mm) and a longer dewcap to prevent the formation of dew for a longer period. The window is coated for a much higher transmission compared with a normal red dot finder.

The brightness of the reticle can be adjusted for nighttime use as well as for daytime use.

Scope of Delivery:

The Skysurfer 3 comes with a very complete scope of delivery. In addition to the finder itself you get:

-- Adapter A ... very low profile adaptor for large radius telescopes or flat surfaces
-- Adapter B ... adaptor for medium and small radius tubes for self adaptation
-- Adapter C ... dovetail base for standard quick release finder bases
-- Battery

Practical Tip from Teleskop-Service:

Many telescopes have a standard quick release finder base in which the Skysurfer will fit directly. If your telescope does not have one the bases are available separately. You can find them under "recommended accessories".

We recommend to use the red dot finder in combination with a normal optical finderscope. The red dot finder provides a very quick orientation and helps with the more precise but less intuitive orientation through the optical viewfinder.
