Distance tubes are required if the so-called minimum focal distance of a lens needs to be reduced.

"Dient zur Vergrößerung des Abstands zwischen Objektiv und Objekt, sonst wäre es zu eng. Die verschiedenen Längen erlauben mir durch Experimentieren die passende Länge zu finden. Die Zwischenringe machen einen stabilen Eindruck."
