The 500/8.0 Tele Lens is a classic tele lens with 500mm focal length and a variable focal ratio of 8-32. It features a very robust, classic mechanical body. Both the optical and mechanical quality were made to very high standards that can be well compared with much more expensive tele lenses.

The tele offers a crisp, high definition image with a very good colour correction and a bright image due to the excellent multicoating.

This tele is a true classic that has proven itself in decades of successful use! While it does not have such modern features as autofocus it packs a surprising optical quality that you would not expect to find in this price range!

The included tripod adaptation cradle ring allows you to attach the tele on any standard tripod. The biggest advantage of this adaptation is that the camera-lens setup will be well balanced. This not only reduces the risk of breaking the camera's tripod thread, but also results in better overall stability.

Focusing is done manually. With a little practice this works very well. Many professional photographers prefer focusing manually because this allows for more user control and best possible results. The tele allows you to use the Aperture Priority function, or you can manually control the exposure time.

When using the lens with a typical DSLR camera with an APS-sized chip you will get an effective focal length of 800mm (crop factor 1.6x) when compared with the classic 35mm film format.

Compatible with all SLR cameras

The tele is compatible with all common SLR and DSLR cameras. You only need a camera-specific T2 adaptor ring. You can find the adaptor rings under "recommended accessories"
