1.25" Adaptor for various Webcams - long thread

This adaptor fits on various common webcams available on the market and allows their use on telescopes. The adaptor has a standard 1.25" barrel and will therefore fit into any telescope that can accept 1.25" eyepieces.

The adaptor is made of aluminium and has a 1.25" filter thread.

Compatible cameras:
Philips SPC 900NC and TRUST WB 5400

Also fits on all cameras where the TSWCAD1A adaptor fits, but requires more back focus.

How to install the adaptor on a Philips SPC900NC:

Removing the lens of the Philips SPC 900NC is a little more complicated than on older webcams, but can be done without special tools.

You only need to push a knife into the slit surrounding the objective until the slit widens. Now you can simply lever off the front ring that is normally used to focus the camera's lens. Once this part is removed you only need to unscrew the lens counter-clockwise and then insert the adaptor in its place. Please be careful that you do not hurt yourself with the knife!
