German equatorial mount EQ1 with field tripod

Even this smallest GEM by Skywatcher can be equipped with a tracking motor. The EQ1 is a compact and lightweight beginnger's mount: Easy to operate and highly transportable. With the tracking motor, is can also be used for astro photography with standard photo lenses.

Telescopes:
The EQ-1 can be equipped with short-tube Newtonians up to 114mm or with short refractors up to 80mm.

-- German equatorial mount with fine controls in both axes
-- Telescope connection via versatile adapter plate
-- Polar alignment via fine adjustment screws in azimuth and
elevation

TS tip:

When the EQ1 is equipped with the "MDEQ1" tracking motor and the "EQ1 Foto" adapter, you have a very nice platform for astro photography which is much cheaper than many other systems. With a standard lens (~ 50mm), astro photograpy with a SLR camera is possible.

When the EQ1 is used only for visual purposes, the "EMDEQ1" motor is sufficient.
