AN IR 10 Crosshair eyepiece - 10mm focal length - five elements - illuminated

This guiding eyepiece has five optical elements and a comfortable eye position. The eye lenses diameter is 16mm with long eye relief. This makes it also suitable for eyeglass wearers. In the summary, long guided photographic exposures become more comfortable.


The illumination of the AN IR 10:

The illumination is continously variable in order to adapt it to the guide star's brightness. The eyepiece section has an independend focuser for an always sharp crosshair section.

 The AN IR 10 is known to us as the 10mm guiding eyepiece with the most comfortable viewing position.

This becomes especially important when it is used as guiding eyepiece for long-term astrophotography at night.

AN IR 10 - crosshair section The double crosshair:

The double crosshair section enables you position your guide star exactly on its position. When aligning a GoTo system, you can synchronize the reference stars very precisely.

Our hints for use:

For guiding, we recommend you to position the eyepiece in that way that one crosshair is parallel to the R.A. motion

You can reach this by slewing the mount back & forth in R.A. and turn the eyepiece until the star runs inside one parallel section.

Now you can see immediately while guiding if the guide star "escapes" in R.A. or Dec. and perform the right corrections.
